The lawmaker visited the Kano residence of the deceased located on Dawaki road, as well as Government House, Kano.
In all the places visited, special prayers were offered for the repose of the soul of the late enviable nationalist and astute politician, diplomat and patriot.
Wamakko, who is also the Chairman, Senate Committee on Basic and Secondary Education described the demise of the late Dan Masanin Kano as an irreplaceable national loss.
The former governor who is also the’ Marafan Hausa’ however, said Nigerians were consoled as the deceased had left enduring legacies of patriotism, piety, humility, contentment and peace building, among others.
Responding, Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje lauded Sen. Wamakko for the visit, saying that the family, government and people of Kano State were overwhelmed by the outpouring of countless and invaluable tributes for the deceased.
However, prayers were also offered for the repose of the deceased.
