LEADER of the All Progressives Congress in Sokoto state, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko has lauded Governor Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto’s giant strides senator saying The APC governor has dwarfed critics imaginations for his performance within two years of inception.
Wamakko who represents Sokoto North Senatorial District said Aliyu Sokoto’s performance surpassed the 8 years of his predecessor.
The former Sokoto state governor added ” surpassed expectations, silencing critics who once doubted his capability to lead Sokoto State.”
Wamakko made the remark at the formal inauguration of the newly renovated and remodelled Hassan Dan Mu’azu Jumu’at Mosque in Runjin Sambo area in the state capital.
The APC Senator who chairs the Senate Committee on Local and Foreign Debts also commended the Governor’s dedication to infrastructural development and religious causes.
The remodelled mosque project ranks among numerous others executed as religious intervention drive by the Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto administration.
The former governor stressed further“Many doubted him before the election, branding him as unpopular and inexperienced
“But they forgot that with Allah on one’s side, success is inevitable and today, Ahmed Aliyu’s achievements speak louder than their doubts.”
He expressed optimism while assuring that Sokoto would witness greater development under Governor Aliyu’s leadership.
Wamakko , a member of the World Muslim League described governor Aliyu Sokoto as a divine blessing to the state urging residents to continue sustain support for the administration.
In a message delivered by his deputy, Alhaji Idris Mohammed Gobir, Governor Ahmed Aliyu reaffirmed his administration’s determination , resilience and commitment to the course of supporting religious causes, stressing that no amount of expended on religious courses was too much.
He appreciated the people of Sokoto for their fervent prayers and continued cooperation in the course of repositioning the state for prosperity.
” Our 9-point smart agenda remains our guiding path to our dream destination of making the state a hub for economic and social development for the benefit of our people to advance their aspirations by exploring opportunities to be self independent”
However, community leaders, religious scholars, and government officials in attendance gave accolades, lauded the initiative as a testament to the state government’s respect for religion and tradition to keep the peace in the caliphate.
