SENATE Committee chairman on Basic and Secondary Education, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko(APC-Sokoto) has arrived Niamey, Niger Republic capital on a two day official visit.
Wamakko who arrived Thursday evening is expected to hold bilateral talks with Nigerien President Muhammadou Isufou and other top officials of government in the country.
On arrival, the Nigerian lawmaker according to a statement by his Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Bashir Rabe Mani was received earlier with his entourage at Dosso by Alhaji Musa Uisman, Governor of Dosso before proceeding to Niamey and received by the Mayor of Tahuoa and Doyen of Mayors in Niger republic, Alhaji Abdulrahman Danmalam and the Director General of Protocol in Niger republic.
The statement said those on Wamakko’s entourage include Senator Bukar Mustapha(APC-Katsina), Nigeria’s Ambassador to Tanzania, Alhaji Sahabi Isa Gada and Sarkin Kudun Daura, Alhaji Abdullahi Bukar, Mr Peter and former council chairman, Sokoto North, Alhaji Abdullahi Hassan
