Ward Congresses: Sokoto APC promises smooth, just, fair exercise

By Saturday 31st July, 2021, the All Progressives Congress(APC) will be holding its ward Congresses nationwide as its Sokoto state chapter promises smooth, just and fair conduct of exercise across 244 wards in the state according to its acting Chairman, Alhaji Isah Sadiq Achida.

Achida’s disclosure came at the end of the party’s stakeholders meeting in Sokoto following the time table released by the National Headquarters of the party for the exercise.

Achida also intimated participants at the all important meeting on the elaborate arrangements made by the National Headquarters of the APC to ensure the success of the exercise.

Similarly, the acting chairman said the state chapter of the party had since concluded all arrangements to ensure a hitch-free exercise across the 244 wards in the state.

Accordingly, Achida in a release issued to newsmen by Bashir Rabe Mani , Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to Senator Wamakko, enumerated the mode of the congresses , as well as disclosed the positions eligible for elections, to represent the Party from wards, local governments, state and national levels .

Meanwhile, the meeting had in attendance , the state party Leader and former Governor of the state , Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, Police Affairs Minister , Alhaji Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi, Executive Secretary, Police Trust Fund, Alhaji Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto and the Senator representing Sokoto East Senatorial District, Senator Ibrahim Abdullahi Gobir.

Also present were the APC House of Representatives and State House of Assembly members led by APC Leader , Hon. Bello Isa Ambarura, members of the Elders Committee of the Party led by its Chairman, Alhaji Aminu Abdullahi Tafida, caretaker officials from the State and Local Governments levels.

Former State Legislators, former members of the State Executive Council, former local governments Chairmen and multitude of party supporters , among others were also in attendance .
