The Director General of the National Sports Commission (NSC), Hon. Bukola Olopade, has lauded First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu for her steadfast support of the nation’s athletes.

The commendation follows a reception at the State House for Nigeria’s women’s wrestling team, who recently returned from a dominant performance at the African Wrestling Championship in Egypt.
The Nigerian squad secured its 15th consecutive continental title, finishing the competition with an impressive haul of eight gold and two silver medals.
Olopade noted that the First Lady’s consistent advocacy has been a driving force behind the team’s success, particularly in fostering greater participation and excellence among women in the sporting arena.
