Bribery Allegations Rock Presidency Over Disputed ‘Foreign Intervention’ Council

Addressing journalists on Thursday, Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi accused the Chief of Staff of making contradictory statements regarding the agency’s legal status and demanded an independent investigation into both the PFIPC and the Presidential Economic Advisory Council (PEAC).

Adeyemi alleged that Gbajabiamila received a ₦400 million bribe through a proxy and demanded an additional ₦200 million to facilitate his appointment to the disputed council.

The whistle-blower challenged the Presidency’s June 11 disclaimer—which labeled the PFIPC non-existent and declared Adeyemi an impostor—by questioning why references to both the PFIPC and the PEAC allegedly appear on pages 50 and 51 of the 2026 Appropriation Act.

Adeyemi appealed to President Bola Tinubu to set up an independent investigative panel to review these official budgetary references, probe alleged assassination attempts against his life, and require the Chief of Staff to step aside for the duration of the inquiry.

The Presidency, however, has firmly rejected all of Adeyemi’s claims, reiterating that the agency does not exist and maintaining that Adeyemi is an impostor currently facing criminal prosecution.
