Sokoto state government says the education and health sectors top it 2025 budget sectoral allocations for they are critical drivers for achieving sustainable development.
The State Commissioner of Information , Sambo Bello Danchadi said while addressing reporters on Friday evening in Sokoto.
Danchadi said that was why a substantial part of the budget was devoted to the education sector.
He explained that the health sector was equally important to the state government, hence, taking 16 % of the budget proposals.
He said the allocations were deliberate to fast track and enhance avenue for addressing infrastructure deficits.
” In the health sector, we want to enhance health infrastructure, improve medical services and promote health education for qualitative Service.
” We are committed to renovating and equipping all the 244 healthcare centres in al the electoral wards in the state and provide each with ambulances for effective and efficient healthcare delivery service”, he explained.
