Former Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Dr. Maikanti Kachalla Baru, is dead.
Report said Baru died at the age of 60.
However present GMD, Mele Kyari, confirmed the death of Baru on his verified Twitter handle.
According to Kyari, Baru died on Saturday midnight.
He however described the former GMD as a brother, friend and a mentor and praying that the Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings.
