Government Committed To Improving Water Sector – El-Rufai

The Executive Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai has reassured residents of the state of government’s efforts on improving water sector in the State.

El-Rufai made this known at the Stakeholders Workshop for the Review of the Developed Regulatory Tools organized by the Kaduna State Water Services Regulatory Commission which took place at the Banquet hall, General Hassan Usman Katsina House, Kaduna.

The Governor however called on Water Consumers to promptly pay their bills, while adding that the State Water Supply Corporation should endeavor to install water meters.

In a welcome address, the Executive Chairman, Kaduna State Water Regulatory Commission, Dr. Dogara Bashir, said that the commission has been assigned the responsibility of regulating the water sector in the state so that the residents of the state can have access to safe water.

Bashir highlighted the achievements of the commission since inception, stressing that it has commenced building partnerships with relevant Federal and State agencies as well as other international stakeholders to facilitate effective discharge of its responsibilities.
