Manchok, Kaura LGA — In a colorful and historic ceremony held at the Township Playground in Manchok, the Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani, on Friday presented the Staff of Office to His Highness Isiaku Tagwai Sambo, the newly appointed Chief of Moro’a.
The event drew a large crowd of traditional rulers, community members, and government dignitaries, signifying the importance of traditional institutions in fostering peace, unity, and development in the state.
Governor Sani, while presenting the Staff of Office, congratulated His Highness on his appointment and urged him to lead with wisdom, integrity, and inclusivity. He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to recognizing and supporting traditional institutions as vital partners in governance and grassroots development.
“This Staff of Office is not just a symbol of authority, but a call to serve the people with justice and fairness. We expect our traditional rulers to play an active role in conflict resolution, cultural preservation, and community mobilization for positive change,” Governor Sani stated.
Also in attendance was the Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, who emphasized the significance of the event in strengthening the cultural heritage of the Moro’a people and promoting stability in Kaura Local Government Area.
The newly installed Chief, His Highness Isiaku Tagwai Sambo, expressed deep appreciation to the state government and the people of Moro’a for the honor bestowed upon him. He pledged to work tirelessly for the unity and progress of his chiefdom and to uphold the traditions and values of his ancestors.
The occasion featured traditional dances, musical performances, and displays of cultural heritage, adding color and vibrancy to the day’s proceedings.
The presentation of the Staff of Office to Chief Sambo marks a new chapter in the history of the Moro’a Chiefdom and reinforces the role of traditional leadership in the broader socio-political framework of Kaduna State.
