Kachia, Kaduna State – In a demonstration of religious harmony and community support, Hon. Gabriel Saleh Zock, the member representing Kachia/Kagarko Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, joined Muslim faithful for an iftar meal at the residence of Hon. Murtala Dabo, Kaduna State Commissioner for Agriculture, in Kachia.

Hon. Zock was accompanied by key political figures, including Hon. Shehu Tafa, the APC Chairman of Zone 3; Hon. Peter Agite, the Kaduna State House of Assembly member representing Kachia; Hon. Dr. Manzo Maigari, the Executive Chairman of Kachia LGA; and Engr. Sanusi Jibrin, the APC Chairman of Kachia LGA.

During the gathering, Hon. Zock urged his constituents to use the sacred period of Ramadan and Lent to pray for peace, unity, and the progress of the nation. He emphasized the importance of interfaith cooperation and support among community members.
In a significant gesture of goodwill, he announced a donation of ₦50 million to be distributed across the 22 wards of the constituency. The funds, he said, would serve as palliatives to help ease economic hardship for both Muslim and Christian faithful observing Ramadan and Lent.
“This is a period of reflection, sacrifice, and devotion. It is also a time to show kindness and support for one another, especially those facing difficulties,” Hon. Zock stated.
The donation has been widely lauded as a timely intervention to support residents amid economic challenges. Community leaders expressed appreciation for the initiative, describing it as a unifying effort that reinforces the values of compassion and solidarity.
As the Ramadan and Lent seasons continue, the gesture is expected to bring much-needed relief to families across Kachia and Kagarko, strengthening communal ties and fostering goodwill among residents of different faiths.
