KBSIEC set for tomorrow’s LG Polls as PDP opts out

All is set for the local government election exercise in Kebbi state tomorrow, Saturday with 17 out of 18 political parties participating.

However, the major opposition party, People’s Democratic Party has opted out of the exercise to be conducted across 424 wards of the 21 local governments of the state.

Besides, the absence of PDP in the race will suggests a clean sweep and walk over for the ruling APC amidst other participating political parties.

Meanwhile, the State Independent Electoral Commission is rounding up finishing process for a free, fair and credible exercise according to Hassan Musa Magaji, the Public Relations Officer of the Commission.

It is that all materials and security arrangements including logistics for the exercise have been provided and ready for the conduct of the polls.

A source from the state government confirmed that today(Friday) has been declared work free day to enable both the Commission and voters prepare for the polls accordingly.
