Nigerien President, Muhamadou Isoufou condoles Senator Wamakko on brother’s death

The President of Niger republic,Alhaji Muhamadou Isoufou, has condoled Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, Senator representing Sokoto North Senatorial District, following the death of his younger brother and member of the House of Representatives, Alhaji Abdullahi Muhammad Wamakko Speaker.

Isoufou’s condolence was contained in a statement signed and issued to reporters in Sokoto today by the Special Assistant to Senator Wamakko on Media and Publicity, Bashir Rabe Mani.

The statement added that the Nigerien President who called Sen. Wamakko on telephone expressed his deepest condolences over the demise of the late lawmaker.

Alhaji Muhammadou Isoufu prayed God to repose the soul of the deceased and grant his family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

He described the demise of Alhaji Abdullahi Muhammad Wamakko as a loss not only to Nigeria, but to Niger republic.

Isoufou further described the late lawmaker as a pillar of democracy in Nigeria and Niger republics.

Responding, Senator Wamakko commended the Nigerien President for the gesture.

He said that the existing cordial relationship between Nigeria and Niger republics would continue to wax stronger and stronger.

Meanwhile, hundreds of sympathizers have continued to troop to Wamakko town to condole Senator Aliyu Wamakko.
