Senate Works Committee Inspects Condition Of Numan-Jalingo Highway

The Senate Committee on Works continued its zonal oversights functions in the North-East by inspecting the Numan-Jalingo road.

The committee, headed by Distinguished Senator Kabir Gaya which is poised at ensuring quality construction and maintenance of federal roads are done, has before now visited the North Central, North West and South South.

The committee during its visits, commended contractors that have done good jobs and rebuked those that did shoddy jobs.

Acting Governor of Taraba State, Hon Haruna Manu had received the committee in Jalingo when their plane touched down on the airport around 1pm on Friday.

Manu took the committee round the state to see some federal government projects executed by the state, which cost the state billions of Naira, after hosting the Muslims in the committee to Juma’at prayers.

Other members of the committee include former Minister of Works and maiden PDP Chairman, Senator Barnabas Gemade (Benue), Senator Mustapha Sani (Niger South),  and Senator Ibrahim Abdullahi Danbaba (Sokoto South).
