Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has approved the appointment of Aminu Abdullahi Abubakar as Director Press Affairs to the Deputy Governor, Alhaji Mannir Dan Iya.
Abubakar had before his appointment worked with Radio Deutch Welle hausa service as its Sokoto correspondent after which he served as Special Assistant on ICT in the previous administration of Aliyu Wamakko.
Tambuwal in a statement issued by his Director General on Media and Publicity, Abubkar Shekara hoped that the appointee would bring to bare his wealth of experience and professionalism for the benefit and advancement of the state.
However, the statement said the appointment is with immediate effect
