…pledges to be fair to all
Kaduna Central Senatorial District, Senator elect, Malam Uba Sani has appreciated his constituents for electing him, promising to be fair to all
He made this know in a press conference held in kaduna on Tuesday, Uba Sani promise to address leadership deficit in the zone, adding that he will sponsor bills and motions that will address the key challenges in the zone.
According to him, “The people have spoken. Our people spoke very loudly and decisively. And the message is crystal clear: Uba Sani is our choice for the 9th Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. He has our mandate.
Nothing can be more touching and humbling.
“It is therefore with the greatest humility and a heart full of thanks to Almighty Allah that I pledge to uphold the mandate freely and abundantly given to me by the good people of Kaduna Central Senatorial Zone.
“My sincerest thanks to our constituents who turned out in huge numbers to cast their votes for me and our great party, the All Progressive Congress, APC. Your votes have counted!I am exceedingly grateful to our resourceful and innovative Governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, executive members of the APC, party supporters, enthusiasts and sympathisers, and of course the irrepressible members of the Uba Sani Campaign Organisation.
“The overwhelming mandate is no doubt a big challenge. It is indicative of the fact that the people are tired of poor representation in the National Assembly, especially in the Senate, and have resolved to address the leadership deficit in the zone. They want responsible and responsive representation. The people want a person who can offer quality representation and deploy his deep and extensive contacts to complement the efforts our hard working Governor, Mallam Nasir El Rufai to address developmental deficits in our dear zone. The people want Kaduna Central Zone to regain it’s pride of place as the political and cultural hearbeat of the Northern Nigeria and a key business hub, as well.
“I want to make a solemn pledge to the good people of Kaduna Central Senatorial Zone: I will be your true representative. I will be selfless in pursuit of the things that will bring progress and development to the zone. I will sponsor bills and motions that will address key challenges in the zone. I will work effectively with the Kaduna State Government to make life more abundant for our people. I will use my contacts to attract investors and development agencies to our zone.
“But far and above all, I will be a Senator for all. The elections are over. God in his infinite wisdom, through the people, has chosen me to be the Senator. It is not by my power. It is just a responsibility. I therefore call on all of us to close ranks and work towards uplifting the conditions of our people. I will be open to all ideas that can move our zone forward. I will listen to all, irrespective of creed, tribal, religious and political party affiliations or persuasions.
“We have a unique opportunity to make the difference. History will be very harsh on us if we betray the people’s trust and confidence. I am deeply committed to giving our people quality representation. With your support and cooperation, I will deliver”. He promised.
