These disclosures were made to the Federal Capital Territory High Court as the agency opposes a N1 billion fundamental rights suit filed by the former governor.
El-Rufai is currently challenging the legality of his arrest and the search of his Asokoro residence, which he claims violated his rights.
The ICPC has urged the court to dismiss the suit, maintaining that its operatives acted within the law under a valid search warrant executed on February 19, 2026.
This legal battle follows a series of anti-graft investigations into the former governor’s administration since his return to the country.
