The appointment of Lere Olayinka as the Southwest PDP’s spokesperson by PDP South West Caretaker Committee has continued to attract applause from the PDP family.
Joining other chieftains to congratulate the former Spokesman of the erstwhile Governor of Ekiti state, Peter Ayodele Fayose is top Chief Sunny Onuesoke, a former gubernatorial aspirant in Delta State.
Onuesoke, in a congratulatory message made available to newsmen in Uyo, said Olayinka is a “fearless and dogged spokesman who merits the appointment”.
According to him, Olayinka over the years ” has proven himself beyond reasonable doubt that he is not just the right man for the job but also the best candidate for the role.
“If truth be told the People’s Democratic Party as the main opposition in the South-West demand a robust and fearless spokesman, therefore, Lere Olayinka’s appointment came in at such a good time when the party is truly in need of such a brave voice”.
“Mr Lere’s appointment is a sign of good omen and a step in the right direction for the party in the South-West, as he has proven overtime that he is not just the right man for the job but also the best fit for it”, he stated.
Onuesoke also called on the SouthWest PDP to rally round themselves to forge a common front against the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) so as to liberate the people of the south from the stronghold of political predators.
“The SouthWest PDP as the best alternative for the political liberation of the people of South west region must at this point bury every trace of disunity and rally round themselves to forge a common front in the coming elections” he further stated.
